Seller's Notes:This item was given to me as a gift, as I was on the lookout for a hope chest. It purchased by a friend who I believe said that it was an old handcrafted Amish chest. It is very study wood and heavy. It sits off the ground by 3 1/2 inches, sitting on round pegs. The height of 19 inches includes the little round pegs that it sits on. It has some stains on top from being a well used table in addition to a chest and there are a couple of long stains on one side from a deep tissue oil. Hope chest, coffee table, card table, statement piece for living room or bedroom. It is a dark brown (color closest to the last picture I took, but a little more bright). It is rustic, grounded, homey, sturdy and wonderful.
