Antique Tiger Bamboo Three-Tier Side Table

Product details

Seller's Notes:A charming antique bamboo side table featuring three decorative shelves, warm mottled bamboo construction, and beautiful floral designs against dark backgrounds. Likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, the table reflects the Victorian Aesthetic Movement, when bamboo furniture and Japanese-inspired decorative elements became increasingly popular in Western interiors. The rectangular tabletop features a delicate botanical composition with red flowers, green and ochre foliage, and fine decorative borders. Repeating starburst motifs surround the central design, providing additional visual interest. Two lower shelves feature coordinating floral decoration, creating three attractive display surfaces within the slender bamboo framework. The bamboo legs exhibit distinctive natural mottling in warm golden-brown tones, often described as tiger or tortoiseshell bamboo. Angled braces beneath the tabletop complement the open construction and give the table an elegant architectural silhouette. The combination of natural bamboo and dark floral surfaces creates a distinctive contrast that works beautifully alongside antique furnishings, vintage rattan, traditional wood furniture, and contemporary decorative accessories. Originally associated with the fashionable bamboo furniture of the Victorian period, the design remains versatile for modern interiors. An excellent accent for a living room, bedroom, sunroom, entryway, or home office, with three levels suitable for displaying books, ceramics, small decorative objects, and collected accessories.
