Antique Shoe Store Facade Sign Walk-Over Shoes
Product details
Seller's Notes:This sign was salvaged off a building set for demolition about 30 years ago in Salt Lake City. It sat on the edge of a metal awning over the door. It was originally for neon but the electrical and tubes had been removed years earlier. I believe it is aluminum and was once blue and maybe white. Walk-over is a classic American shoe company that is/was in business for 250 years. Their website is still active but they have no product for sale so not sure is they are still producing shoes or will in the future. The letters are hallow and surprisingly light weight. Walk-Over is 19” tall, 7” deep and about 90” long. It was mounted to a long heavy metal electrical housing that I removed for easier storage and transport. So the letters are now in 5 pieces - W, alk, hyphen, O, ver - are all separate pieces. Shoes is 5 smaller separate letters that hung below on the edge of the awning. They are 10” tall x 5.75” wide x 1” deep. Other than the peeled faded paint there is no damage, holes or dents.
