Seller's Notes:This shoe shine stool belonged to my father. His first nickel was earned on this stool which was in his father's barber shop on the Lower East Side back in the early 1940s. It is in very good condition, with all its hardware, stable 5 feet and sleek secure shoe rest. It betrays its age with some scratches and texture, but that give it a gorgeous patina, perfect for primitive, industrial or cottage decor. It may have gotten some fresh spray paint in the 1970s, so rust has been kept to a minimum. It's approximately 20" high to the toe of the foot rest, 20'' wide at the feet and 32" long also measured at the feet. It's great as a unique side table!
