Seller's Notes:We bought the table at an antique shop in Brooklyn in 1975 for $1000, which even then seemed expensive. But we were looking for a large dining table, loved that oak had beautiful grain and we hadn't seed many tables with claw feet. The table seats six but comes with three boards, also oak, which when inserted creates an oval-shaped table that seats at least twelve people. We held many parties and celebrations around the table, and we ate there even when it was just the two of us. Hard to part with it, but current apartment is much too small for a such a large table. I know that whoever buys it will restore it to its original state and enjoy using it as much as we did.
