Antique Maria Theresa Crystal Chandelier
Product details
Seller's Notes:This is a beautiful Maria Theresa crystal chandelier circa 1940/1945, which I purchased in 2006 from an antique store called Cotswold Antiques in New York City . Maria Theresa chandeliers are named after the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, who, having seen the opulent crystal chandeliers in the court of the infamous Louis XIV of France, commissioned her royal craftsmen to build exquisite chandeliers in her own palaces. Ever since, Maria Theresa chandeliers have set the standard for antique crystal chandeliers, renowned worldwide for their timeless beauty, baroque styling, and precious crystals. It is obviously not in like new condition, but I have taken really good care of it since purchasing it, and I think it is in excellent condition for its age. There are no visible or obvious imperfections. There are 5 sockets, which hold standard E12 candelabra bulbs. Dimensions are approximately 19" in diameter x 14" tall with a 19.5" chain.
