High-end leather details (see photos) including strapping on the bottom and the back of the chair as well as well-placed leather cuffs to keep the cushions in place. Thoughtful finishes throughout. Purchased the pair for $2000 two years ago and in perfectly worn condition. We would definitely keep if we weren't relocating across the country!
