ANTIQUE HAND PAINTED TRAY TABLE- Victorian
Product details
Seller's Notes:This is a genuine one of a kind Victorian antique from late 1800’s. It is a Tole (papier maché) tray table beautifully hand painted with a multicolored rose motif on a black background with crimson red and gold patterned edges. The tray is securely mounted on the original bespoke wooden stand and comes with a glass insert to protect the painted tabletop. The condition is fair for an antique of this vintage: The Table is structurally sound (not wobbly). The four corners of the tray are all a bit chipped (some more than others). There is a small but visible crack on one of the long raised tray edges. There are some ancient wear marks (rings and scuffs) on the painted surface where the red base coat shows through but which blend into the floral pattern and add an attractive vintage patina. All in all a unique and romantic touch to any room. This antique table is an investment as it’s value as an antique is much higher than the asking price.
