Seller's Notes:We inherited this antique writing table from our parents and are looking to pass it on to someone who will appreciate its history and craftsmanship, as it no longer fits the aesthetic of our home. A charming English Victorian mahogany writing table stamped by the maker/retailer "J.P. White, College Hill, Shrewsbury". c. 1850-1900 It features an inset oxblood leather writing surface with a gilt-tooled border, two frieze drawers, and tapering legs terminating in the original brass-and-porcelain cup casters. The table remains in honest, unrestored condition with a beautiful warm patina. The leather writing surface shows light wear consistent with its age, adding to its authentic character.
