Seller's Notes:Antique Close Stool: Often disguised as elegant furniture that is multie level shelf with storage In the English court, the incredibly prestigious and intimate job of assisting the king with this device was known as the Groom of the Stool. It has a storage cabinet pure walnut wood and 3 steps with beautiful leather in perfect condition. It needs a little TLC to get patched and can be resold but this is an Antique piece purchased for a lot more in London and brought back to the West Village, NYC and now ready to find its new home!
