Seller's Notes:Set of Six Antique Chippendale Mahogany Chairs in the style by Joseph Short, Newburyport, Mass. 1780 The distinctive arm support with flaring base were originated by this maker. The proportions create a feeling of strength and energy. Nicely carved horizontal slats on the back. Straight front legs and stretchers. Newly and professional re-upholstered in striped silk. The 2 Arm-chairs are 23” wide x 18” deep x 37” tall The 4 Side-chairs are 22” wide x 18” deep X 36” tall All seats are 18” high Great used condition with a few usage scratches and nicks mostly on the lower sections as shown in pics
