Seller's Notes:I bought this frame at an antique sale in Sag Harbor a number of years ago and have enjoyed it ever since. It has character, no doubt, but if you're looking for flawless or picture-perfect this isn't the one for you. It doesn't have a bottom, per se, so the box spring either sits on the lip of the baseboard like mine does or you can buy a piece of plywood and put in underneath a box spring. I've done it both ways and had no issues. It's an antique so it's heavy and the feet will scratch your floor if you don't have floor sliders or protectors, which I have and cost no more than $20, and like everything/one old it has imperfections. But, I enjoy furniture with character and many have admired this frame over the years so, I guess I'm not alone.
