Seller's Notes:Antique 1900-1920 Japan Gold Gilded Moriage Cobalt Blue, Pink Peony Flower Vase Estimated to have been made no later tan 1920 but I cannot be sure for certain "A Japanese pottery vase of tapered, cylindrical form rising to a broad neck with everted rim, the shoulder moulded with angular, classical handles, the whole decorated in overglaze enamels, piped slip and gilding with a quatre-lobed panel depicting a peony bloom on a ground of asa-no-ha diaper, the base stamped "Made in Japan" Apparently asa no ha is a hemp leaf design... It changes hues as the light changes and I tried to reflect that in my pictures!
