Amisco 1980s Chrome K700 Paperclip Stools
Product details
Seller's Notes:The paperclip form remains fresh and refreshing well after its launch in 1969. Its contours are both functional and distinct. The stool’s tubular steel frame offers a clean design that beckons impromptu gathering and comfortable conversations. Versatile Design Pull it around the kitchen counter to settle in for a drink or snack, or set up a few in the living room to enjoy your daughter's piano recital. The Paperclip perch is as useful as it is unique. This distinct design, made of a single length of tubular steel and a welded seat, was brought to life by the Haworth Design Studio. Part of History The designers are Phillip Salmon, Hugh Hamilton and Rein Soosalu, and the design is the K700 stool, produced in 1969. It is the most famous design of Salmon & Hamilton’s three-year partnership and was originally available in red, yellow, black, white, or polished chrome. A simple and beautiful design built using a continuous piece of tubular steel that is bent to form a cantilevered base and solid footrest. The resulting bent paperclip form is purposeful, unique and has been in production for more than forty years.
