American of Martinsville Mid Century Modern Walnut Credenza

Seller's Notes: We weren't sure what to do with this wonderful credenza, then imagine our surprise when we saw it was selling for 2800 dollars in Beverly Hills! After doing some research, we discovered that it was from a very reputable furniture maker, American of Martinsville, and a legitimate mid-century modern piece. We know this is NY, so we adjusted the price because we want to sell it. Walnut construction. A mix of solid pieces and some veneer work on the left side pull out drawer fronts. Everything is dovetail construction. The "junk" wood looks like it is oak - ie used for the actual drawer sides. The aluminum cruciforms are a trademark of the maker. Credenza has three drawers on left. Dovetailed, walnut. On the right, there are three wicker screen cabinet doors. The far right door is double articulated. They reveal two shelves and then three pull out walnut doors. The top is in very good condition. There are about 4 good dings, smaller than a dime, I will update the pictures asap. You would want to refinish the hardware, but the wood looks great I would leave as is unless you want it to look brand new. It's big, it holds a lot - we had all our linens in it. At one time a drawer held a CD collection so the drawers can take some weight. It is meant to be in a dining room, and it seems very well designed for that. Two people can move it around your space with ease. We had a piece of glass on the top for 6 years, but with a little kid we decided that wasn't a good idea anymore. Happy to answer any questions. We moved more than a year ago and don't have a dining room, so it's time to get different pieces.
