Seller's Notes:Large gorgeous African Batik Tapestry textile art framed with padding underneath and board on the back. Wood frame fitted with wire ready to be hung. Large size: 53.tall5”x43.5”wide Bought this piece on the west coast about 10 years ago. It has a sticker from an art gallery in La Jolla, California. This is a traditional African art produced on textile and hand painted with traditional whimsical wild life and geometric motif. The date on the sticker is 2001 and after research the estimated period of creation is around 1940’s I’m placing this African batik tapestry piece in mid century category for the color, mood and aesthetic.
