Seller's Notes:BACKGROUND: Original (1) owner, purchased in the mid 1970's from a furniture store in Arlington center, Ma. It was professionally reupholstered by The Fabric Showroom in Brighton/Watertown, MA sometime in the 2000's with fabric from J. Allen Fabric. The original upholstery was black in color. Since reupholstering, the chaise has either been on display in our family sun room as decoration/decor or in temperature controlled storage. THE PIECE Presenting an iconic Mid-Century Modern masterpiece: The Adrian Pearsall style Model 108-C "Wave" Chaise Lounge for Craft Associates. Known for its fluid, sculptural lines and solid walnut peg/pencil base, the 108-C is a definitive staple of 1960s American design. PROVENANCE & RESTORATION This particular piece boasts a significant restoration pedigree. In the 1990s, it was meticulously reupholstered by the renowned Fabric Showroom in Brighton, MA, a premier Boston workroom celebrated for museum-quality textile work. The structural integrity is excellent, with high-density foam and webbing that remain firm and comfortable. CONDITION NOTES Upholstery: Features a high-quality geometric weave. There is localized color softening/fading on the headrest due to sunlight exposure. Fabric from J. Allen Fabric in California. Wood Base: The solid walnut tapered peg legs are structurally rock-solid. They retain a beautiful vintage patina with minor surface scuffs/marks typical of an authentic 50-year-old piece. Overall: Ready for immediate residential use or a light wood-refresh for a gallery setting.
