Seller's Notes:Early 19th-century American pedestal dining table, likely mahogany, with a turned central column and hand-carved lion paw feet. Solid wood round top is approximately 44.5” in diameter. Originally constructed as an extension table with a removable center leaf (leaf no longer present). Underside shows early hand-cut joinery consistent with 1800s construction. Beautiful original antique patina with age-appropriate wear, including surface scratches and a visible seam/separation in the tabletop. The pedestal base is solid and stable. A striking and authentic antique suitable for dining, entry, or library use.
