Seller's Notes:American of Martinsville Bergere and Faux Bamboo Sideboard with Cane sectional fronts and brass handles. Founded in 1906, American of Martinsville was founded by Virginia tobacco producers and produces bedroom furniture. In the early 1920s the company began adding dining room and other styles. By the 1950s, American of Martinsville's reputation for design was well known. Vintage American of Martinsville furniture remains popular today. This piece is in amazing condition and will last a lifetime. Distressed cream/ivory paint color provides a lot of detail on the cane and bamboo framed cabinets that have heavy brass bamboo pulls. Four cabinets for lots of storage and 2 drawers in the middle cabinet. This piece is unique but also stays in style during any decade. Very solid and sturdy piece made out of real wood.
