1950's Wood Cabinet w/ Admiral Home Entertainment Center
Product details
Seller's Notes:A beautiful wood cabinet with burl pattern doors. (My bad photography does not do the cabinet justice.) Inside, is a 1949-50 Admiral home entertainment system with a slide out record player, a radio (under which is a storage area originally used for vinyl records) and a TV! They are all ADMIRAL brand component parts which were HUGE in their day. The set WORKED before the last move when one of the tubes was damaged. This is a great collector's item. The day an American family acquired its first television was a momentous event during the 1940s and '50s. As with my family, it was likely to be the first set in town! This Admiral Home Entertainment System was the latest technological innovation. It wasn't just a television, but a combination TV, record player, and radio. In this case, it is also works as just a lovely piece of furniture. The wood is gorgeous, with only one nick pictured on the edge of one of the doors and one small water spot on top which may be polished out. Thanks for looking!
