Seller's Notes:Earl 1950’s maple twin beds by Gilchrist of Boston, a former department store. All slates and side boards in excellent condition. Headboard and footboard have some scratches and marks. Unable to set up both beds for display together due to space. Original owners, has been in family for 70 years. Headboard height is 41.5 inches Footboard height is 31 inches Length of bed including headboard and footboard is 81 inches Width of bed including head and footboards is 42 inches. Fits a standard twin mattress. Note: Matching Secretary desk and chair, dresser, one night stand that fits between twins, and one mirror also for sale. Inquire if interested in purchasing full set. Secretary desk and chair currently in my other listings. Others to come. Scratches and marks consistent with age. Most vanished with a good polish. All pieces are functional. Back of headboards showing slight separated wood joints. Does not affect function nor is visible when bed is set up. (facing wall) Bed slates are solid wood blocks that fit between two nails per block. Some nails are bent and could be replaced. Does not impact function. 14 pieces in total for two beds.
