Seller's Notes:Own a genuine piece of American maritime history. This coffee table is crafted from an original wooden hatch cover used on a World War II Liberty Ship. These massive merchant vessels were the backbone of the Allied supply chain, and their hatch covers were built to withstand the harshest conditions of the North Atlantic. Features & Details Materials: Solid old-growth wood planks with original heavy-duty iron end-caps and recessed "flush-mount" lift handles. History: These ships were built by the thousands in the 1940s; very few of these original hatch covers remain in this condition. Aesthetic: Perfect for Industrial, Rustic, or Coastal/Nautical interior design. The character marks, weathering, and industrial hardware provide an authentic patina that modern furniture cannot replicate. Condition: Solid and structurally sound. Retains the original industrial hardware.
