Seller's Notes: The leaf is 12" width, so when it's used the width grows from 48" to 60". This well-loved dining room table was purchased new -- I think I bought it at Fortunoff's (not sure if I"m remembering that correctly). It is made from solid wood, has a rich cherry finish on it, and is from a pet-free, smoke-free home. Any whitish areas in the photos are just light reflections. There is one water stain from the base of a glass on the leaf extension, and one small scratch. Please see photos for details. I am selling it only because my boyfriend just moved and gave me his table which is narrower, which fits a little better in my apartment. When the extra leaf is used, the table closes tightly, no gaps. It's great for temporarily enlarging the table for dinner parties! Seats 6 comfortably, and I've squeezed in more many times :-)
