Vintage Window Mirror
Product details
Seller's Notes: I found this adorable shabby chic window mirror second hand and can only guess at its origins. The frame is solid wood and appears to be salvaged. I’d estimate the frame itself is from the 1940s or earlier, though the mirror and paint were probably added in the last five years or so. The original side channels and metal sash pull really show its personality. It’s hand painted in white crackle with hints of black and dark teal peaking through. The paint has a nubbly texture and may be mixed with sand or baking soda. The frame is backed with brown paper and has three sawtooth picture hangers along the top. The paper is damaged but still offers some protection and doesn’t show from the front. You could easily replace it if you wanted to. From the back you can see that rather than one large mirror, it has small mirrors set in each pane, so it’s much lighter. Aside from a few spots of missing paint in the front and a small chunk of wood missing from the back under the paper, the piece is in great shape and would bring light and coziness to an entryway, living room, or other space.
