Seller's Notes: We are moving and need to sell our beloved coffee table that we purchased less than 2 years ago. Reclaimed Barn Wood Coffee Table 1700s Maple Legs Rustic Distressed Reclaimed Barnwood. This handmade coffee table bears the beauty of centuries old of history, character and charm. Made from reclaimed barn wood and lumber that date to the 1700s and 1800s. The beauty of this wood is the character marks from years of aging, air drying and use - nail holes, nails, seasoning checks. The maple legs, solid and very heavy, have the horizontal marks of a mill from centuries past. The ends of the maple leg stock that I cut the legs from had hand cut end lap joints, another sign of the age of the wood. The coffee table is a very solid weight of 50 pounds and measures 58" long x 19" wide x 18" high. The two beautiful cracks in the table top are very stable, and to insure they remain as is Tje furniture maker had reinforced them with wood underneath the table top. The table top shows the beautiful aging signs with checking, cracks, changes in color tones, marks. nail holes and everything else. Any existing nails have been left in the top. It he furniture maker did not know the exact age of the top but it was found inside an old barn that was being dismantled. It was such a beautiful piece of wood, it needed to be the star in someone's living room. The apron of the table is southern yellow pine, a very dense and hard wood, reclaimed from an early 1800s building.
