Seller's Notes:Timothy Oulton Glacier coffee table in charred reclaimed oak encased in clear acrylic. The Glacier design preserves the dramatic texture and irregular character of burnt timber while creating the visual effect of reclaimed wood suspended within ice. Four substantial planks of charred reclaimed oak are individually encapsulated in clear acrylic and supported by matching pedestal bases, producing a sculptural centerpiece with strong architectural presence. Purchased in 2017, this table has been used in a private residence and remains in very good condition. The acrylic and wood surfaces show the intentional irregular texture and variation characteristic of the Glacier collection. Like a primeval volcanic eruption frozen in time, the Glacier coffee table spectacularly freezes logs of burnt timber in crystalline acrylic. The ice-cold smooth appearance contrasts with the charred remains of the rugged timber, like mixing fire and ice. The coffee table features four beams of timber encased in acrylic, set atop two large timbers also in acrylic. The spectacular bubbling finish is uniquely different on each piece. Please note, do not place directly on floors with underfloor heating or next to heat sources such as radiators. This is a heavy item.
