Seller's Notes:A very rare Extra Large Copeland Blue Italian Spode Jug in excellent condition. It measures 12.25" high and 13" wide from the tip of the spout to furthest part of the handle. It has the black stamp and the pattern number C 1816 on the base, as shown in the photo, which is when the Spode factory first started to make this pattern. This sought after blue and white collectible features a rural scene with figures, animals, a river, and in the background are old ruins. (It was fashioned after a 17th Century Italian painting.) For the discerning collector -- This is a very unusual piece and hard to find in this extra large size. It will become even more rare over time as the Spode factory no longer exists. I do not know the age of this piece but there are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. I must part with some of my cherished items as my children are now grown and I am downsizing.
