Seller's Notes:Holiday weekend sale! Reduced price! A beautiful, rare Sheraton style tallboy dresser by Huntley Furniture, circa 1930s. Similar dressers have been selling up to $1400. Made from mahogany with a bow front in distressed cream colored chalk paint. The top and beadwork detailing are stained a rich walnut. Includes 6 dovetailed drawers with ample storage, original brass hardware, carved foliate, and fluted stiles along the sides. The chest is supported by square tapered legs with a scalloped lower apron. In 1906 Oakland manufacturing Company bought our Winston Furniture Company, forming a new enterprise called BF Huntley Furniture Company. In 1961, Thomasville Cjair Company and Huntley Furniture Company merged and adopted the name Thomasville Furniture Industries. These brands have always been highly regarded for their quality and attention to detail. This 90 year old chest is in excellent condition for its age; minor imperfections are a part of its story.
