I have a few other pieces from this company that are over twenty years old and still in perfect condition. these are very well-made products and are often bought by people who are environmentally aware and want solid wood and a nontoxic finish. Most products now are not made of solid wood. One small allergy free poodle in home- no smoke no perfumes- no chemicals. it looks brand new no blemishes whatsoever- the wood is solid and is beautifully stained - like new
