Seller's Notes:I know everyone says the photos do not do it justice, but in this case, it is SO true.... This diningroom set designed and masterfully crafted by Marge Carson is so beautiful, so elegant and so well crafted that it actually pains me to be writing this listing. My husband and I purchased this diningroom set 5 years ago for $15,000. It is a dining set for eight and includes a leaf. This was going to be our first and last extremely elegant dining set that would accommodate our entire family, we would never have to buy another. Unfortunately, due to my husband's health issues which were very unexpected and sudden, also which caused him to lose his job, we did not have a choice and were forced to leave our home that we thought we would be in forever and move to an extremely smaller living situation. Hence, our lovely, perfect dining room set, as well as much of our other beloved furniture, does not even come close to fitting. Don't get me wrong, this set is the perfect size for eight. It is not in any way too large, it fits in perfectly and we constantly received compliments on this set. As I said it is so well crafted, it is so sturdy and there simply is not one thing wrong with any of the pieces of which there are 10. You will be receiving 8 extremely comfortable, beautifully upholstered dining chairs, a solid Walnut table with a patterned top (please see the photos and notice the patterned top that is very traditional but yet modern and so lovely) as well as one leaf. These truly are the most comfortable dining room chairs I've ever sat in. There are no stains, I honestly can't think of any scratches that are on it but I must assume that there are a few very small scratches but nothing to note at all. This set is really pristine and will be an exquisite edition to your home. I have priced this set very low considering the retail value and the condition. We are very much hoping to make a quick sale and of course the price that you see its not the price that we will receive, we will receive less than half of that price. We are open to offers as we sincerely need to sell the dining set as soon as possible. We are very hopeful that we can purchase another set in the future and enjoy holiday gatherings with our family around a lovely table, just as we did for a handful of years in this amazing Marge Carson dining room set ~ you will see, this is not just an extremely comfortable and functional dining room table, it is truly a work of art!
