Mahogany Early 19th Century Desk
Product details
Seller's Notes: This is my grandfather's desk, shipped over from the UK 15 years ago and (sadly) kept in storage since. It is a pedestal desk in the Georgian manner with three drawers in a detachable top (frieze) that sits on top of two supporting sides with three drawers in each side. All the handles are brass and each side is raised upon four cabriole legs with claw and ball feet. The detachable top (frieze) has leather inlaid into the mahogany which has a fair amount of wear and tear. See photo above. Given it is between 75-100 years old it has some scratches but I have kept the wood up by polishing. It is a lovely looking antique but it is still sturdy enough to support a large monitor.
