Absolutely gorgeous, Stunning, handsome Louis XV–style bombé commode with a beautifully curved case and a richly figured mahogany finish. The two spacious drawers are decorated with fine contrasting inlay that forms an elegant circular pattern across the front. Ornate gilt-metal handles, corner mounts, and decorative accents add just the right amount of drama. The chest is topped with a substantial shaped marble slab in deep green-black tones, filled with natural veining and varied stone inclusions. Coordinating inlaid panels continue along both curved sides, and the case rests on graceful cabriole legs. A striking statement piece that would work beautifully in an entryway, living room, dining room, or large bedroom. The commode is in vintage condition with visible scratches, finish wear, small chips, age-related marks, and wear to the marble and metal mounts. The unfinished back also shows signs of age and use MEASUREMENTS 35 1/2" height 47 1/2" x 21"
