Seller's Notes: Beautiful Harrison Van Horn Waterfall Corners Raffia Desk. In the same family since the late seventies. Final piece from my family's estate. I've been unable to locate bill of sale in my parents effects but the factory label is still attached and in excellent shape just like the entire desk. This is lovely, distinctive piece that is easy on the eyes. Exceptional design and craftsmanship make it special. Excellent. The lacquer finish is a unique custom ordered, factory deep blue. The lacquer, raffia and grasscloth are intact with no cracking, discoloration and not dried out because the desk has been carefully cared for over time by my mother's housekeepers and by my housekeepers as well. It shows some normal (gentle) wear that comes with age. I hope the photos adequately convey its condition. The original Harrison Van Horn factory label is still in place. If my memory serves, this piece was custom ordered from the factory by my mother in about 1979 and remained in place until 2002 when we were taking care of the estate and I moved it to my place. I've had it in my home since then. I'm moving to a senior apartment and it saddens me that I won't have adequate space to keep it. It's a collector's dream.
