Seller's Notes:Selling two Hans Wegner Style Shell Chairs from inmod. These are high quality reproductions of the original Hans Wegner design. These are in excellent condition, having sat mostly unused in my office space. They are made in American Walnut/natural wood, with grey fabric upholstery. Originally purchased both for $2,500 incl shipping.

The Hans Wegner Shell Chair is a high quality reproduction of the Hans Wegner original designed in 1963. In 1999, the Hans Wegner Shell Chair was given the highest possible grade in The Technological Institute of Denmark's test program. In 2000, one of the original chairs produced in the 1960's was auctioned for $20,000. Hans J. Hans Wegner began his career as a cabinet maker. After studying at the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts he worked as a furniture designer under Arne Jacobsen and Erik Moller. Hans Wegner is regarded as one of the most innovative Danish furniture designers, as well as with helping to make Danish design popular internationally.
