Seller's Notes: This compact desk served me well for many years in my old cramped apartment, where its versatility and deep storage came in handy whenever I was entertaining company or just wanted to keep reminders of work out of sight and mind. I loved the versatility! Sadly, now that I’ve upgraded to a bigger space (and added a monitor to my setup) I have to part ways with my trusted conversation-starting workstation to make way for something better suited for larger quarters. Perfect for tight spaces (i.e. studio apartments or small home offices), this nifty convertible desk adapts seamlessly to your needs. When it’s time for work, the top panel slides to the right to reveal several storage nooks for general office supplies, paperwork and even your laptop—including discreet cord management cutouts in the back. At 55 inches wide in desk configuration there’s ample legroom to pull up an office, dining or even a balance ball chair. Then, when it’s time to play, just tuck away your work toys and slide the panel back to its original position, which makes this desk look like your average 30-inch wide file cabinet. But trust me, there’s nothing “average” about this nifty space-saver. The desk has earned a few small blemishes on the front drawer edge and top desk area, but both are barely noticeable against the deep mahogany stain.
