Seller's Notes:A researcher and book lover, this bookcase has managed to fit into my NYC apartment. It's a centerpiece and statement piece in one. I used this bookcase for books, though its expansive shelving anchors any room and would be great to showcase ceramics, dinnerware or a collection of decorative objects. Gallery shelves of solid richly grained mango wood float on a slim open iron frame finished in black. Six sturdy shelves rest on a metal frame that are secured in place by leather tabs in the back. Unique graining, knots, splits or fissures in the wood add to the distinct character of this exceptional shelving unit. Some of the screws did strip when it was moved and where possible the screws were upgraded to a stronger metal. The unit can still be completely disassembled. I would love to keep this wonderful bookcase, but my family and I are moving to the West Coast.
