Seller's Notes:Bernhardt Avignon walnut dining set consisting of table, 8 chairs (2 armchairs, 6 armless), 2 leaves. Seats 6 without leaves, 8 with one leaf and 10 with 2 leaves. Large Louis XV style dining table with beautiful attention to detail. Comprised of warm wonderful walnut wood with scalloped edges and apron; S-curved cabriole leg with shell carving on the knee and scrolled toe on peg foot; chevron patterned bordered top; and expands from 76 inches to 94 inches to a grand 112 inches with the addition of one or two aproned leaves and is a generous 46 inches wide. Simply stunning! Attributed to the Bernhardt Furniture Avignon Collection circa 1999. Bernhardt has been creating fine furniture and has been family owned for over 125 since 1889. In wonderful vintage condition, sturdy with no outstanding flaws. From a smoke-free home. No structural defects. In glare of light, the table top shows some minor, light surface scratches and some shiny spots in the finish (see photo). No scratches or abrasions into the wood or stain itself. One arm chair arm was previously repaired. Both arm chairs have some abrasions on the arms (see photo). Upholstery is in excellent condition with no tears, abrasions or fading. We are selling because we are moving and downsizing, and it no longer fits.
