Antique Wall Mirror in Wood Frame

Seller's Notes: This framed mirror still has its original glass, though the glass does show its age and seems permanently streaked. Regardless, the mirror is still quite functional and the degree to which the streaking is noticeable all depends on how the light hits it. I have tried to include photos of the streaking and how the lights affects it. Please be aware that hanging indoors with filtered ambient light, the streaks are only marginally apparent and sometimes cannot be seen at all. Other than that, the mirror is in excellent vintage condition. The frame is wooden and is rich in its color. The mirror does appear to have at one time been attached to a vanity or it was possibly a “chevalier mirror,” since there does appear to be a cut and sanded remnant of doweling in either side of the frame about midway down. It measures about 20 1/4" across and about 36" down. This antique mirror is a beautiful decorator item that will suit many different decors. It fits in as comfortably with the casual country cottage as it does with Hollywood Regency or even a more formal Colonial style. It could even be an eclectic addition to a more modern style. This truly is wonderful piece of furniture history that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
