Seller's Notes: This 9’ x 12’ original vintage Karastan Lanamar Kirman Carpet Pattern 5511 with geometric design was made in the 1950s. It is predominantly rose and navy blue with other vibrant colors accenting the center medallion and geometry of the pattern. Its cotton warp extends into fringe that is undamaged, and the pile is premium worsted New Zealand wool. There is one place in the center edge that has lost the wool pile. Please see the photos. Given the large rug size, the damaged edge can be hidden under a sofa or chest. Alternatively, it could be restored as the rest of the carpet is in excellent condition. Without damage, this size Karastan carpet often lists for $1500 and more. Because of the minimal damage, I offer this carpet at a significantly reduced price.
