Seller's Notes: 1940s "Industrial Manufacturing of Hearses" WPA Style Oil Painting, Framed Gorgeous oil painting from the 1940/50s showing the manufacturing process of mortuary hearses. This painting was commissioned by the Finney Company to demonstrate the industrial process involved in the manufacture of their products. Super cool mid century with a gothic vibe. Excellent metaphor painting for an office or den. Framed in a handsome muted gold gilt. Painting is in overall very good condition save for a .5” tear in the upper right corner ( see photos) Very hard to see under normal viewing conditions. Frame is in good condition with some faint wearing of the gilt around the edges and corners. Painting is in overall good condition but has .5” tear to the canvas with 2” trailing faint scratch. Colors are still rich and unfaswd. Some wear in the inner edge gilt on the mirror in the lower right corner. Otherwise Frame is in good condition for its age
